Vision : To make youth employment as one of the top issues of the national agenda of the
government and launch youth employment projects and programs in urban and rural areas.
About the Network : Although YES Azerbaijan Network is hosted by Green Earth, an NGO, it is
officially registered as Youth Employment Summit Georgia Country Network. The network has 4
regional offices in Telavi, Kutaisi, Khoni, Gori, Aspindza and Ozurgeti.
Implemented Projects as partners :
- In partnership with “Sun and Earth” and with JSC “SPETSHELIOTBOMOMNTAJI”
project “Solar Energy in the Monastery” was launched. Under this project, the network
has produced and installed 4 Solar Photovoltaic systems and 2 Solar hot water
systems.
- With the financial support of a mobile company “Geocell”, YES Georgia organized a
major event, “Green Action”, which witnessed the plantation of 22000 trees in Kakheti
and Samtredia. The event was attended by more than 8,000 youth environmentalists.
- With the financial support of Japan Government in Khoni (near Kutaisi), YES Georgia,
implemented a project: “Creation of Favorable Conditions for Development of Ecological
Education in West Georgia”.
- Subsequently, YES Georgia become a National Lead Agency of Global Youth Service
Day.
- The NATO project: “Flow Scale Effective Bi o-reactor for Production of Gas, Heat and
Electricity in Georgian Farms in the Mountain Region”, became one of the signature
initiatives of YES Georgia.
- The World Bank supported Project: “Introduction, Testing and Demonstration of
Environment Pollution Reduction Methods at Pilot Farms in West Georgia”, impacted
great environmental advocacy and jobs creation.
Current Major Initiatives :
- Policy advocacy through awareness seminars, workshops and media campaign in the
whole country
- Special trainings on Renewable and Energy Efficiency issues
- Organizing regional Conferences and workshops
- Opened library and receiving many books.
- Jointly participated at the waste management actions
