• Led YES Honduras during the period 2004 – 2007 and currently from 2009. She is managing the project - Generation in Sustainable Ways of Life, in Honduras with support of Fundacion E (Mexico). The project reached out to nearly 481 young people.
• She has experience in human rights, gender violence, youth social and political participation and HIV/AIDS, among other issues. Currently she developed projects with a focus on gender and training workshops in human rights, and equal opportunities.
• Serves as a regional coordinator of AIR 2009, an initiative of IHP (International Health Programs) working in adolescents sexual health with scholarship from IFPLP and Gojoven. She is also a teacher of Sociology and Philosophy in CEUTEC.
• She has participated in the YES Latin America forum (Paraguay 2005, Panama 2008) and also attended YES Mexico 2004 and YES Kenya 2006.
• Vanessa is a lawyer specialized in rights, from the Autonomous National University of Honduras (CURN). She is a specialist in sexual and reproductive health at the University of San Carlos from Guatemala and Master of Gender and Development from the University of Alcala de Henares of Madrid (Spain).
