• Founded YES North-East Network in 2004, as a nonprofit organization that helps in youth empowerment and livelihood development. He has been building the capacities of the youth since 1992, facilitating a country level progressive youth movement called SMILE.
• His vision is to create over one hundred youth-led initiatives by 2015 in India.
• Initiated the “Student Mobilization Initiative for Learning through Exposure (SMILE), started the Student Self Support Union (SSU) in Mizoram and set up the Enterprising Youth Centre, a one stop resource centre for youth.
• Raised US $ 68,000 from key partners such as IGSSS, DKA Austria.
• Serves as a member of:
• Board Chairman, Development Training School (DTS) 1992 to 2004.
• Organizer, “Child Prodigy Festival 1987”, in aid of Child Laborers Rehabilitation
• Member, Inter-Tribal Peace Treaty Monitoring Committee (2000-2003)
• Camp Director, Regional Youth Summit on Ecology 2004.
• Campaign Convener, “Greening 1000 hectares wasteland”, Manipur. India.
• Was the president of the Social Workers Association, Tirupattur (1986-88), and Assistant Organizer, National Service Scheme (NSS 1986-87)
• Attained Global exposure at YES Azerbaijan 2008, Arab World Youth Forum Egypt.
• Has a Masters Degree and M.Phil in Social Work.
