- A founding member of YES Kenya Network. His vision is to build a strong community of youth leaders who will work towards creating
sustainable livelihoods for the youth in Africa and impacting the whole world
- Initiated the largest network of youth in Kenya interested in active participation in the national development agenda
- Mobilized support from the government of Kenya, Ministry of Youth to host the YES Kenya 2006 Summit, attended by over 1200
delegates from over 100 countries. Mobilized the YES Kenya Network to help organize this mega global event. Attained Global
exposure at YES Alexandria 2002, YES Mexico 2004, International Youth Peace Conference, 2007, GKP Conference 2007, UN
General Assembly, Lobbying and Advocacy with the Canadian MP’s and Pan African Debating Championships.
- Played a key role in advocating and supporting the government of Kenya to set up a Ministry of youth affairs, in 2006 and equipped
the YES Kenya Deputy Country Leader to take over as the Youth Coordinator within the Ministry of Youth
- Serves as a member of the International Youth Initiative Advisory Board of the Open Society Institute. He is also the Convener and
moderator of the National Youth Convention and the National Youth Movement in Kenya. Currently, Ngongo is committed to the
youth network to roll out the 2 million solar entrepreneurship job opportunities in East Africa through the Rework the World initiative.
- Was a student leader in high school and during his college years and chaired various clubs and societies including the Child Rights
Club, Red Cross, and Wild Life. Volunteers time for the Kenya Red Cross Society, and currently engaged in mobilizing young
people to take over leadership in Kenya through grassroots mobilization. His key expertise is in the areas of Youth Leadership and
Development, Human Rights and Diplomacy.
